Clocks have been around since forever! They are integrated into everything we do. So why not be cool about it? Clocks don’t have to be boring; they can be high tech cool, Nostalgic from almost any decade, or both. Clocks are as unique as the people who use them, and we all do.My favorite clock decade is ’00 as in 2000-2010. Why? I like high tech stuff. A projection clock projects the time onto a wall from an electronic device, or can even project into thin air by a wand that rapidly sways back and forth. The fog clock creates a think mist screen and displays the time on the mist. These are so very cool, and unique to our decade. In 2050 these clocks will be nostalgic. I know, hard to imagine huh?The 50’s are making a huge come back in the form of clocks. You remember the advent of the diner, right? If not, you have at the very least seen it on T.V. at some point. I am not sure if they are still showing, “Happy Days” reruns or not. Anyway, the 1950’s clocks come in typical red, yellow, black and white checkered, steel or wood designs. They are all analog mechanical clocks that require winding. That is, If you want to be true to the era.Antique kitchen clocks are prized possessions. The 1900’s had some amazing clock based contraptions. These things were often literal works of art. Like a French Pan Mythology clock circa 1900. This was a hand crafted clock embedded into a metal sculpture. The art nouveau designs from the late 1800’s were also still very popular as clock makers in the early 1900’s started to get really creative designing clocks that match the popular art deco (a form of building architecture) of the period.Now-a-days, if you can’t find what you are looking for, you can have it custom made. It’s not as expensive to do as you might think. No matter what your favorite era, there is a clock out there for you.

These obviously are not antiques but replicas that represent their respective decades.
